Privacy Policy

Digger Training & Testing (“we”, “us”) of Rear Unit, Graff-City Building, Lower Monk Street, Abergavenny NP7 5LU is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
What we collect
- Enquiry details — when you use our enquiry form or contact us by phone, email or social media, we collect your name, phone number, email address and the details of your enquiry (for example the course or card category you are interested in).
- Booking and training records — if you book a course, we collect the information needed to register you for training, testing or an NVQ, which may include your CPCS card details, CITB Health, Safety & Environment test details and date of birth where the scheme requires it.
- Website usage data — basic analytics such as pages visited, device type and approximate location, collected via cookies (see below).
Why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and provide quotes (legitimate interests).
- To deliver and administer training, testing and NVQ assessments, including registering you with the relevant card scheme and awarding bodies (performance of a contract).
- To keep records we are required to hold as an accredited training provider (legal obligation and legitimate interests).
- To understand how the website is used and improve it (legitimate interests, or consent where required for cookies).
Who we share it with
We only share your information where necessary to provide our services:
- Card schemes and awarding bodies — such as CPCS/NOCN and CITB, to register you for tests, NVQs and card applications.
- Service providers — our enquiry form is processed by Formspree, Inc., which transmits your submission to us by email; our website is hosted on Cloudflare. These providers act as processors on our behalf.
- We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
How long we keep it
Enquiry details that do not lead to a booking are deleted within 12 months. Training and certification records are kept for as long as the relevant scheme and our accreditation require, and in any case for a minimum of 6 years for business and legal purposes.
Cookies
This website uses only essential cookies and, where enabled, Google Analytics cookies to measure visitor numbers. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings without affecting your ability to contact us.
Your rights
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, to object to or restrict our processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at Diggertrainer@gmail.com or on 07934 141467.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
